The Royal College of Art (RCA) started life in 1837 and remains today the worlds most influential wholly postgraduate University of Art and Design, offering MA, MPhil and PhD degrees in Fine Art, Applied Art, Design, Communication and Humanities. The RCA has been renamed the world's leading University in the 2017 QS World University Rankings.
The 500 acre Yorkshire Sculpture Park (YSP), winner of the British Art Fund Museum of the Year 2014, was founded by Peter Murray CBE in 1977. The landscape of the YSP falls into three distinct outdoor gallery spaces which have a changing exhibition programme. Work by British and International Sculptors is shown including works by Henry Moore and Barbara Hepworth.
Haworth Tompkins is an architectural practice with a steadily growing international reputation. Founded in 1991 by Graham Haworth and Steve Tompkins, their London based studio works across a range of building types and scales in the cultural, educational, housing and regeneration sectors. Their work has received numerous design awards, including the world's most prestigious architectural accolade, the 2014 RIBA Sterling Prize for their reimagining of Liverpool's iconic Everyman Theatre.
Genalguacil Sculpture Village Miguel Zarza the Mayor of Genalguacil with Sebastian Hedgecoe President of Atmósfera Academy of Inspiration (above) at Art Marbella in July 2018. An exciting agreement has been reached to collaborate on future artistic projects including Artists Residencies. Genalguacil in the Serrania de Ronda celebrated its 20th anniversary this year of being a Sculpture Village which supports artists in many disciplines. Genalguacil is a 40 minute drive from Ronda and commands a spectacular view of the mountains of the Genal valley.
The David Lynch Foundation for Consciousness-Based Education and World Peace is a global charitable foundation with offices in New York City, Los Angeles and Fairfield, Iowa. It was founded by film director and Transcendental Meditation practitioner David Lynch in 2005 to fund the teaching of TM in schools. The DLF will be coming to Ronda as part of the Atmósfera Foundation Inspiration Events.
The Wim Wenders Foundation in Dusseldorf was set up to bring together the cinematic, photographic, artistic and literary lifework of Wim Wenders and to make it permanently accessible to the general public worldwide. The aims of the foundation are the promotion of the arts and culture through the restoration, research and distribution of Wenders' work on the one hand and to support young talent in the area of innovative cinematic narration on the other. The WWF is going to collaborate with the Atmósfera Foundation in the promotion and education of innovative cinematic narration.
